Mission Statement—”The Secret to True Joy and Happiness lies in Jesus Christ.  It’s Always Been That Way and It Always Will Be.”—Julie Annette

Therefore, Time With Jesus is Time Well Spent.

The Goal of Our Mission Statement

For whosoever will, to accept Jesus as Their Personal Lord and Savior, to develop a Growing Friendship with Jesus through Prayer and Bible Study, to live a Holy, Obedient Lifestyle in this life, and to lay up Spiritual Treasures in Heaven for Eternal Life.

Plan of Salvation

Jesus paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross.  When God created us, it was His desire for us to live forever with Him.  He always wanted to be our best friend.  But Adam and Eve failed by disobeying Him.  Their sin passed forward in every generation.  The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “Yes, all have sinned, all fall short of God’s glorious ideal.” (*TLB)  Our sin or rebellion against His commands separate us from the ultimate goal of perfect friendship with God.

So to fix the problem, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to set an example for all mankind and then die on the cross as a perfect sacrifice to forgive us of our sins.  This gift of forgiveness from God is our ticket to eternal life with Him in heaven.  But we must receive this ticket by accepting God’s conditions.

Repent of your sins and mistakes –Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and mistakes and leave them behind in your daily walk with Him.  Matthew 4:17—Jesus began to preach, “Turn from sin and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” (*TLB)

Accept Jesus as your Personal Savior from sin –Ask Jesus to come into your heart and guide your life in your daily walk with Him.  John 1:12—To all who received Him, He gave the right to become children of God.  All they needed to do was to trust Him to save them. (*TLB)

If you are humble and sincere when repenting and accepting Jesus as your Personal Savior, then you are born again.  This means Jesus enters your heart by faith and you will want to live in such a way to please Him.

Prayer

Prayer is something that God loves.  When we get away in our prayer closets, we focus on our relationship with Him.  God is interested in everything that concerns us—our trials, tribulations, struggles, and problems.  He listens attentively to the desires of our hearts, the tone of our voices, and the sincerity of our pleas.

God also wants to celebrate the joys in our lives as well.  He is waiting for us to come happily to our prayer closets to thank Him for answered prayers, the successes He supports, the happy times when all is well and the world seems right.

Daniel was a great example of a man of prayer.  He built a strong relationship with God by kneeling down in his upstairs bedroom and praying three times a day, giving thanks to his God.  Those intimate talks with God led to him being able to face the lions’ den with courage.  “My God has sent His angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they can’t touch me, for I am innocent before God.”  When Daniel was lifted from the den, not a scratch was found on him because he believed in his God. (Daniel 6) (*TLB)

Walking closely with God leads to confidence in Him.

Bible Study

When developing a relationship, we have to get to know that person.  The best way to get to know God is to read the Bible.  He clearly tells us about Himself.  His awesome power, His attention to detail, and His creativity are incredible.  Inside His Holy Word, we see how God interacts with folks who have lived before us.  We see the blessings that various Bible characters experienced by including God in their lives such as Zacharias and Elizabeth (Luke Chapter 1) and the consequences that Bible characters experienced by leaving Him out of their lives such as Solomon (1st Kings 11:9-11).  Jesus said in Matthew Chapter four, “Obedience to every word of God is what we need.” (*TLB)

The Bible is our guidebook and our road map.

Holy Obedient Lifestyle

Our bodies are not coloring books or pin cushions.  God took His time in making us so we should take care of our bodies.  “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb.  Your workmanship is marvelous.” (Psalm 139) (*TLB)

Many years ago, The Lord spoke to my heart and said, “You only have so many days on this earth so you should always look your best.”  Whether we are getting ready for a casual or dressed up event, we should try to look our best because looking nice and neat never goes out of style!!!

Christians are to be filled with The Holy Spirit—not alcoholic spirits.  Christians are to be “high” on The Holy Spirit.  “Don’t you realize that all of you together are the house of God and that the Spirit of God lives among you in His house?  If anyone defiles and spoils God’s home, God will destroy him.  For God’s home is holy and clean, and you are that home.” (1st Corinthians 3:16-17) (*TLB)

Christians are to let The Holy Spirit control their thoughts, actions, and words.  “Be a new and different person in all you do and think.” (Romans 12)  Say only what is good and helpful. (Ephesians 4:29) (*TLB)

Our transformation is a process so our witness for Christ will be evident in all aspects of our lives.

Spiritual Ambition

Most people believe in a retirement plan.  They have a 401k plan where they work and they want to be able to retire to a comfortable lifestyle when they get older.  They invest money in their future.  In Matthew chapter six, Jesus says, “Don’t store up treasures here on earth where they can erode away or may be stolen.  Store them in heaven where they will never lose their value and are safe from thieves.  If your profits are in heaven, your heart will be there too.” (*TLB)

Our heavenly retirement plan should be our top priority.  Since Jesus declares there are profits to be obtained in heaven, we should go for it and devote our time to our eternal treasures.  In Psalm 37 verse 18, it says, “Day by day The Lord observes the good deeds done by godly men, and gives them eternal rewards.” (*TLB)

Since you can’t take it with you, it is best to let Jesus prepare your customized treasures in heaven.
